The WWF Oasis la Malcontenta e il Lupo presents an exhibition of pictorial artworks by Manlio Ortolani and Marco Ortolani. The paintings are placed in the various rooms of the structures, creating visual stories that perfectly complete the atmosphere of the spaces.

THE ARTISTS' WORKS

The collections of oil paintings on canvas and on wood are expressed through inner visions of landscapes, animals, and flora, reinterpreted by textured brushstrokes and chiaroscuro that sometimes serve as a bridge to a surreal world with contrasting features.

Some of the works on display are for sale, others can be made to order.

At La Malcontenta e il Lupo, art completes the dialogue with the environment and the Natural Sciences. Nature and art complement each other, the latter often becoming an expression of the former, but never replacing it. The opposite never happens: at La Malcontenta e Il Lupo, nature is never forced into forms to become aesthetic, nature is not domesticated, the landscape always remains as free as possible, and a bit “wild.” There are no gardens, there is nature, as it truly is. Here, we try to preserve its essence in the most scientific way possible, without, in fact, denaturing it. Ecosystems and biodiversity take precedence here, and art crowns them, honoring them.
