The Space

Casolare la Torre del Tobacco is situated on a vantage point from which you can enjoy a unique view of the Oasis and the Tiber River Park.

The large windows make this cottage very bright. The materials used for the renovation are breathable and healthy. Lime plays the leading role, both with hemp and with pozzolan. There is no lack of marble powder, which mixed with lime makes it possible to make a healthy, old-fashioned bathroom finish (i.e. without the use of glues or resins): this is called stucco veneziano.

In addition to lime, other natural and glue-free materials were used, such as cork or gypsum fibre (which is a far cry from plasterboard).

The floor is a handmade cotto laid fresh on lime.

Heating and cooling is underfloor, so the use of terracotta, without adhesives, allows breathability and prevents condensation.

Iron is another material that has been used extensively in this renovation.

Supply

The cottage is self-sufficient (offgrid). It is 90 square metres equipped with everything necessary:

three bedrooms, one with a double bed, one with two single beds and another with a single bed (a total of 5 beds)

two bathrooms, one with shower

large living room with fireplace;

kitchen equipped with oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, glass-ceramic hob, coffee maker, toaster and all the crockery needed for cooking.

You will also find all the necessary linen, hairdryer and bathroom soaps.

In the cottage you will find two ethernet sockets for the adsl internet connection (the one available in our area). Although this is not a fast connection (as fibre is not yet available) we have chosen to provide this cable connection because, for our philosophy and to safeguard the health of our guests, we prefer not to use Wi-Fi. If you feel the need, you are free to use your portable devices. But the basic idea is a personal reconnection. Do not be distracted by the outside world. Live a unique experience in the silence of your own thoughts.

As a welcome you will receive a basket of mineral water with six glass bottles (once consumed place them empty in the basket, we should then return the empties at the end of your stay).

You will also find coffee and tea.

The Casolare is cleaned and sanitised with non-chemical products before each booking.

Pets are not allowed in the WWF Oasis, and therefore also in the cottage, for scientific reasons and in order not to create conflict with the wildlife.

The structure is immersed in nature, yet well connected to the main towns.

Todi is 8 kilometres away. The nearest supermarket is 13 minutes away by car.
